It's just a few days before my soft graduation (I officially graduate in May if nothing happens).
I feel, with every benchmark you hit, there is always an array of choices that you have to make. It's just like coming to a road that branches out into many different areas, and when you leave school, that road you choose to take is very vital, for that would be the way you would be going to make a living.
I always thought, "Go for your dreams! It's only when you find a job that you enjoy where you feel like you're not working."
But i believe i was wrong.
Finding a job that you love would be quite impossible, because with work, comes responsibilty, and with heavier responsibilities, you see the dark side of the job, which would tarnish your good impression of what you thought you have loved once.
Stepping out into the hardcore society out there scares me sometimes, but hey, when you never try, you'll never know! I would think sometimes,
"How would I be like 10 years down the road?"
I guess that would be something i would know only then...
6 days to graduation

I know i'm a month behind constructing my resolutions for the year, but hey, it's never too late, isn't it?
With the term ending (Finally), my brain has started thinking of what my future would be like, what i'd wanna do, where I wanna be.
More often than not, i would tend to think, "What would it be like if I had joined JC instead of poly?" Today, this question came back to me as 2 JC undergrads sat beside me.
Then i thought, I'd probably would not have met the people that I know now, and have established friendship with them. Every junction in life is a range of choices, and I believe I have made the right choice in joining Poly as further education. =)
School may be ending soon (Which means goodbye to projects for now!), but somehow i feel sad too, for i'll be leaving my poly friends soon. But then again, we may not meet everyday, but the bond would still be there.
After school, comes the opportunity for job hunting. I'm glad i've taken this path, for studying and working has definitely opened me up to many experiences, and has made me a much stronger person than I ever thought I could be. Every step is a challenge, and I am ready to take on anything that comes my way!
This year, I aim to get my driver's licence, and get a new car too! That would make travelling a whole lot easier too! I guess as you get older, your priorities change. I never thought that I would want to get a licence at all, till lately.
Of course, with new aspirations and priorities, comes responsibility and baggage. I really wonder how long i'll be able to upkeep this mindset of mine, after all, I have not fully embarked on my journey into the harsh society yet. Working part time allows you to see one side of it, but working full time would be a different story altogether.
How reflective, Madeline. Realising your New Year Resolutions only one month after the year has started.
Year 2007 has been a year of great friendships blossoming, bonding, losing people you know and turmoil. But every year comes with different experiences, and each step is a learning step. I'm looking forward to what 2008 has in store for me, and i'm expecting great things for myself too. Ambitious, you may call it. But well, that's me! =)
As the title would have it, New year, Great expectations.
