Exams have ended, work has started, and finally I've the time to blog!
Retail just takes up so much of your energy sometimes, you just want to rot away the moment you reach home.
Sunday marked the last day of work in Sony Gallery for one of my close colleague, Cassandra. The two of us really looked out for each other back in work, and i'm really going to miss her.
Karen and I decided to make her last day a memorable one, or rather, let her know that all of us would miss her back at SGO. Cassandra was presented with a purple Adidas bag (With courtesy of Louis, Max, Richard, GuoWei and Karen herself). I made her a cross stitch set which marked our friendship.
End of her days in SGO = End of friendship? Well, definitely not, for we'll be joining dance together again! That's soon I hope, for i really wanna dance, BAD Well, to end off, here are shots of the cross-stitching process:
Day 2 Day 4 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8 (The final Product)
Yes, it took me about a week to complete it, and that includes hours of sitting on the chair and late nights as well! But i'm glad she liked it overall, and its really an accomplishment for me, for this is the first "BIG" piece that i made. =)
Heart's been heavy lately, I hope everything will fall into place soon.

I've grown to like this particular duo whilst mugging for my exams. If you have heard of the once popular korean boyband H.O.T who sung A Song for a lady in the korean drama series that rocked the nation, Autumn in my Heart, and the boyband that starred in the popular Taiwanese drama sequel, Meteor Garden, you might have seen them. Yes, Lead Singer for the Korean boyband, Kangta and F4's Vanness Wu have joined hands (As in collaborate, mind you), combining both Korean and chinese music to bring you Scandal, a mix of hip hop, ballad and R & B. Their album never caught my eye when it was launched late last year, as i thought it was not an album spending on, or even looking at. But that was until I came across a video featuring their songs on Youtube. It's catchy, and well, their dance moves are really good. Ha ha. Its amazing how both guys were able to sing the different languages (Korean singing chinese and vice versa)
With all that said and done, Its the end of the examinations and the official start of the holidays! Meeting up with Isabelle, See Ning and Ivana tomorrow to celebrate Valentine's day. I'm sure it's gonna be real fun!

This song really captures my heart. Concrete Angel by Martina McBride depicts the story of a young girl who was a victim of domestic violence, who's life was ended by her own mother. It's really sad to know that things like that DO EXIST. But the song also depicts the strength of the girl's heart, though it had already been shattered to pieces by her mother. Everyone has their very own strength of the heart. And as long as we keep that strength, no hurdle is too high to jump over.
And Here are the lyrics:
She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterdayS
he hides the bruises with linen and lace
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born
Chorus
Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel
Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too lateRepeat
Chorus
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot
Repeat Chorus
Me
I can be quiet
I can be loud
I can be reserved
I can be wild
I hate deception
I hate lies
I hate betrayal
All in all, No matter what happens,
Life still goes on =)
Life is like a puzzle;
Constructed, connected and arranged piece by piece;
Clench the teeth with perseverance;
All the suffering will end eventually;

Look at the stars, and not the reflection of the moon.
