"The cold wind rushes past, cutting through the air like sickles. The girls hold on firmly to the umbrella's on hand, hoping that it would not be blown away by the cruel wind. Rain battered down hard onto the brolly's, just like pebbles falling on plastic sheets. Just then, a long and high trail of water splashes onto the girl's, soaking their clothing to the skin. The girls scream as they watch the bus drive away, disappearing into the rainy sheets ahead."I was just trying to sound literature... But we DID get soaked, and our feet had a good washing too! Rainy days can get quite frustrating at the wrong times, but belle and I enjoy stomping on puddles, just to get each other's legs wet! Then again, the rainy weather made one feel like just going home to catch some forty winks!
Just like the many unexpectancies we meet daily, unexpected news hit me just like the water on my legs when the bus drove hard onto a puddle of water. One of my dance instructors from my last school, is dead. You may have seen him before, as he was one of the finalists for the first "
Superband" competitions. Yes, it's Ishi from SOUL.
This was news from almost 6 months back, but I only got to know about it today.
(Yes, that's how "OFTEN" I've been reading the news) And though I've only attended one of his lessons, he's someone that I wouldn't really forget, as during my short stay at the dance school, his lesson was one of the best that i've attended. And I can definitely feel the loss upon hearing his leaving the mortal platform.
Yet another case of suspected suicide. The higher powers up there seem to work people in so many different ways. Till today, I still can't comprehend, why people who have such promising futures ahead of them, can choose to end their lives. I once read somewhere that the world works such that there is a balance in everything. Just like if there is night, there is day. If there is heaven, there is earth. If there is life, there will also be death. Could it be that humans are upsetting that balance that is causing so many people to take their leave in their prime?
Another case that has got Singapore talking for awhile are the 5 National DragonBoaters who perished in Thai waters after the SEA games. It was really saddening to see 5 young people who showed so much promise leave just like that. These cases fall only within the local context. Out there in the big, wide world there are so many other cases that we've not yet or never experience. Student shootouts, gang violence, etc.
Would the world kill the people first? Or would people kill the world? I really wonder...
RIP...
